Everything is ready in Lloret de Mar to celebrate the Costa Brava Sud Carnival, which arrives next Saturday 1st March on Lloret de Mar’s seafront promenade, where spectators can enjoy the Gran Rúa de Carnaval, a colourful and musical show on the seafront with around 1,000 participants and fifteen floats.
Lloret de Mar presents itself in 2025 with a calendar full of events that began with the magical Sea Procession to welcome the Three Wise Men and a week ago hosted the legendary Rally Lloret de Mar with more than 128 participating teams enjoying the magnificent sea and mountain scenery of the Costa Brava.
By holding these events, Lloret de Mar is underlining its strategic commitment to remain the events capital of the Costa Brava. The year 2025 is packed with activities that consolidate the dynamism and diversity of this top tourist destination. The calendar of events, which ranges from major traditional festivals to sporting competitions and cultural events, offers a programme designed for all audiences.
For sports enthusiasts, 2025 brings unmissable events such as the Lloretrail (6 April), the Gran Fondo Lloret Costa Brava (27 April) for cyclists and the Lloret Night Trail (28 June), an exciting night race. Open water swimmers also have a major event with the Lloret Beach Crossing (28 September).
Culture and history also have their place with events such as the Americanos’ Fair (20-22 June), which commemorates the Indian imprint on the town, and the Medieval Fair (8-9 November), which takes visitors and locals back in time to the Middle Ages. In addition, festivals such as PRIDE Costa Brava (4-6 July) and Fenals de Música (7-14-21 August) make Lloret a meeting point for music and celebration.
The town’s main festivals keep the local tradition alive with the Santa Cristina Festival (24 July) and the Sant Romà Festival (18 November), two of the most eagerly awaited events of the year by the people of Lloret. The town also joins in the celebration of World Tourism Day (27 September), reinforcing its commitment to residents and sustainable tourism.
For two nights in mid-September, Lloret’s sky will be lit up by more than 300 drones, which will create choreographies of light, music and colour. The Lloret Drone Festival can be enjoyed from Lloret beach (11-13 September).
The year closes with the New Year’s Eve Fair (28 December – 1 January), a unique opportunity to bid farewell to 2025 with a good atmosphere and activities for the whole family.
With this wide range of events, Lloret de Mar consolidates its position as a lively, fresh and fun tourist destination, where things are always happening, where every month there is a new experience to discover.
