Lloret Turisme launches the campaign “Lloret, the way I like it”

This year, “local ambassadors” have been asked to take part by presenting their favourite spots in the town

Lloret Turisme, the tourism promotion body of Lloret de Mar, has launched the destination’s new tourism promotion campaign.

Under the slogan “Lloret, the way I like it”, the town’s attractions are showcased by real-life protagonists in a campaign targeting visitors from Catalonia and the south of France. The campaign will appear across TV, press and, above all, online media.

Lloret Turisme remains committed to attracting tourists from nearby areas and to using real-life protagonists, whom it sees as an effective source of credibility. While last year’s campaign featured visitors who had initially posted negative comments about Lloret on social media, this year’s campaign stars people who know the town inside out, including all its best spots.

Lloret Turisme made a call for “local ambassadors” (born-and-bred locals or people who spend a lot of time in Lloret) to come forward in order to showcase the town. The chosen protagonists were the Bolos Pla family, Roser and Vicenç, and Estefanía and her friends. There is also an additional group of twenty ambassadors who will be taking selfies at their favourite spots in Lloret.

This campaign comes on the back of other communication initiatives, such as the TBEX travel blogging conference that took place last week, bringing together over 600 bloggers from 39 countries.
