LLORET TURISME LAUNCHES THREE NEW OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES FOR ADULTS AND FAMILIES, AVAILABLE IN DIFFERENT LANGUAGES

They’ve been grouped together under the name Lloret Nature and are scheduled for the spring and autumn

Lloret Turisme is adding to its mid-season programme of tourist activities available in different languages with three new outdoor activities for adults and families that will get underway on Saturday 8 April.

On the one hand, the Nordic walking excursions that proved so successful last year will be scheduled once again. The excursions will take place on Wednesdays and Saturdays from 8 April to 17 June and from 9 September to 28 October from 10 am to 12 noon. Three routes will be made available to walkers (north coastal footpath, south coastal footpath and forests of Lloret), which will vary depending on the day and will cost €4 per person, including the rental of walking poles.

Meanwhile, two family activities have been scheduled for Saturdays from 10 am to 12 noon: nature discovery workshops (land and marine nature) and guided snorkelling trips through which to explore the seabed of the Lloret coast. The nature discovery workshops are scheduled from 8 to 27 May and again from 7 to 28 October at a cost of €5 per person. The snorkelling trips are scheduled from 3 to 24 June and from 2 to 30 September. They cost €10 per person, which includes the rental of snorkel gear and a clothes locker.

According to Elizabeth Keegan, Director of Lloret Turisme, “This year has been declared the International Year of Sustainable Tourism by the World Tourism Organization and we believe that offering outdoor activities through which to discover the natural and cultural heritage of Lloret fits in very well with the theme and gives added value to our destination.”

Furthermore, from 8 April to the end of the month, a guided tour of Can Font will be offered at 5 pm every Saturday in English and French in order to encourage foreign visitors to discover this newly-opened attraction that forms part of the cultural heritage of Lloret de Mar.

Keegan added, “If the activities prove successful, we’ll consider extending the period and incorporating them in the regular schedule of activities offered by Lloret Turisme.”
