Lloret de Mar enhances the value of its natural surroundings with active tourism proposals promoted by Lloret Turisme

Paddle surfing for beginners and advanced; family snorkelling or paddle yoga are some of the activities on offer this summer season that can be booked through the website www.tickets.lloretdemar.org

Lloret Turisme, Lloret de Mar’s tourism management and promotion body, has launched this summer’s programme of nature activities, the main aim of which is to invite visitors to enjoy authentic experiences in the natural surroundings of Lloret de Mar through active tourism proposals with local suppliers. The manager of Lloret Turisme, Elizabeth Keegan, explains that “Lloret Turisme promotes the destination internationally, but we also invest a lot of effort in undertaking unique initiatives that invite visitors to discover our natural and cultural attractions once they are at home”.

This summer’s programme invites you to enjoy the sea and our coastline. During the months of June and September, paddle surfing for beginners is offered on Saturdays at 9 a.m. and advanced paddle surfing on Sundays, also at 9 a.m., on Fenals beach. From 17th June until 30th September, the family snorkelling activity is offered with the marine biologists of the Xatrac Environmental Association at the Casa del Mar (Fenals beach), an activity that combines a fun part with knowledge about the fauna and flora of the marine environment. During the month of July, also on Fenals beach, paddle yoga sessions are organised every Tuesday and Thursday. All activities are priced at €8, €4 for children under 12 in the case of snorkelling, and can be booked through the website www.tickets.lloretdemar.org.

As has been a clear trend since pandemic, and as can be seen in the tourism intelligence platform used by Lloret de Mar, Mabrian Technologies, interest in the nature product remains in the top positions in terms of tourist mentions of Lloret de Mar, being the third most important after sun and sand and the cultural product in 2023. This tool monitors users’ interest and satisfaction with Lloret de Mar’s cultural, active tourism, leisure and gastronomic offerings through reviews and prices on OTAs (Tripadvisor, Expedia and Booking), comments on social networks (Twitter and Instagram) and searches on Google’s meta-search engine.
