Lloret de Mar premieres the first themed tour of the filming of “House of the Dragon”

The Santa Clotilde Gardens, where the filming of the Games of Thrones prequel took place, become the “Gardens of the Dragon”

During the months of July and August, visitors to the Santa Clotilde Gardens will find a sign at the entrance informing them that they are entering Gardens of the Dragon”. This is the first approach to the themed visit commissioned by Lloret Town Council from the Lloret cultural projects company Amargura Cultura. The Director of Cultural Heritage, Anna Fuentes, explains that we have created a guided tour in which we take advantage of the common thread of this internationally renowned series with millions of followers to show the attraction of the Santa Clotilde Gardens, and we are convinced that there will be no doubt as to why they were one of the chosen locations.

The themed tour Gardens of the Dragon can be enjoyed every Friday at 8pm in Catalan and at 6.30pm in Spanish during the month of July, and on Fridays at 7pm in English during the month of August. These tours can be purchased through the Lloret Turisme website: tickets.lloretdemar.org

The Santa Clotilde Gardens are one of the most fascinating settings of the series “House of the Dragon”, the prequel to the series “Game of Thrones”, centred on the Targaryen house and based on George R. R. Martin’s novel “Fire & Blood”, which has been brought to screens all over the world by the HBO platform. Accompanied by specialised guides, attendees will walk through the most important corners of the Santa Clotilde Gardens, becoming the true protagonists of the experience inspired by “House of the Dragon” and discovering all kinds of objects and settings easily identifiable in the series.

Today these nineteenth century inspiration gardens are members of the European Route of Historic Gardens, listed as a European Cultural Itinerary by the Council of Europe, and welcome more than 100,000 visitors annually.
