The Lloret Convention Bureau holds its 15th Annual Assembly, following a 2025 with more than 165 events

2025 is considered a very positive year for the Lloret Convention Bureau, with over 20,000 delegates and notable initiatives, having hosted the Global MICE Forum workshop.

Among the highlights of the destination's 2026 programme is the 31st Catalan National Congress on Urgent and Emergency Care, with more than 400 professionals.

The Lloret Convention Bureau has held its 15th Annual Assembly with around ninety attendees. The event, held at the Hotel Rigat Park, served to showcase all the activity carried out throughout 2025 and to outline the planned actions for 2026. In this regard, the Councillor for Tourism, Cristina Aymerich, has pointed out that “2025 has been a very intense and positive year, in which we have continued to strengthen our positioning and work on new tools and strategies that allow us to continue growing and differentiating ourselves.”

In this first quarter of 2026, the Lloret Convention Bureau has continued with the same momentum and various actions have been carried out. One of the key moments was the CEW Lloret de Mar Corporate Workshop, which served to consolidate Lloret as a leading destination for hosting professional events at a national level. In addition, the 31st Catalan National Congress on Emergency and Urgent Care is being held these days, with more than 400 professionals.

More than 165 events and over 20,000 delegates during 2025

2025 closed with more than 165 events and over 20,000 delegates. These figures confirm Lloret‘s progress in the process of de-seasonalisation, reaffirming the town as a year-round destination. Of particular note was hosting the convention of the multinational technology company Criteo in May, which brought together more than 3,500 participants from over 25 countries and generated a direct impact on the destination of €3.8 million.

One of last year’s great successes was the launch of the new Lloret Experiences platform, which showcases more than 60 unique experiences for companies and has received over 4,400 visits. A strategic move was also made by hosting the Global MICE Forum workshop, which has helped to further position Lloret very strongly within the national MICE segment.

Meeting and events tourism plays an essential role in the evolution of Lloret de Mar. The destination has opted to diversify its tourism activity, strongly incorporating MICE and sports tourism and initiatives such as the Lloret Film Office, in order to move towards a more balanced, less seasonal model with greater added value. Through the Lloret Convention Bureau, Lloret de Mar is also at the forefront of European projects promoted by the Catalan Tourist Agency, such as Be Future MICEycle, in partnership with Marmirada and Effiwaste, which focuses on reducing food waste at corporate events.

The Mayor of Lloret, Adrià Lamelas, has highlighted that “the Lloret Convention Bureau is a tool for progress, constantly evolving, adapted to the challenges of new contexts and which pursues the well-being and balance between residents and visitors.” He added that “it has become a success and a national benchmark for other municipalities.”

Currently, the Lloret Convention Bureau has 68 members. The latest to join are: Experiencias Costa Brava, Hotel Helios, La Vila Grup, Coworking Lloret, Hotel Roger de Flor, Serenity Garden & Events, and Water Sports Fenals.
