STRATEGIC TOURISM PLAN

With the goal of maintaining its position of tourism leadership, in 2010 Lloret de Mar drew up the Strategic Tourism Plan 2010-2014, a strategic document that sets out the town’s tourism policy for the short, medium and long term.

STRATEGIC PROGRAMMES

The Strategic Tourism Programme 2010-2014 consists of 10 sub-programmes:

  • Destination management programme.
  • Programme for the improvement of the destination.
  • Programme for the development and consolidation of strategic tourism products.
  • Marketing, promotion and sales programme.
  • Programme for the improvement of the competitiveness of business activity.
  • Smart tourism programme.
  • Sustainability and accessibility programme.
  • Programme for the consolidation of the relationship with the local area.
  • Programme for attracting investment and for the development of strategic projects.
  • Communication and awareness-raising programme targeted at the local population.

LLORET SMART DESTINATION

LLORET DE MAR TOURISM RECONVERSION PLAN AND SMART DESTINATION PILOT PLAN

As a result of the agreement reached between the Government of Catalonia and the Tourism Business Round Table of Lloret de Mar, formed by the private sector of Lloret de Mar, the Operational Plan for the Tourism Reconversion of Lloret de Mar is currently being implemented. This plan follows on from the Lloret de Mar Strategic Tourism Plan 2010-2104 and the Strategic Tourism Plan of Catalonia. It aims to contribute to the modernisation and comprehensive reconversion of the destination.
