Until 3 October, Lloret de Mar is the epicentre of meetings and events tourism with the celebration of the Global MICE Forum National Edition 2025 (GMF), a gathering that brings together 140 professionals from the MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences & Exhibitions) industry from all over Spain.
The event is a good example of the synergies between administrations, as it is organised with the support of the Generalitat de Catalunya, through the Catalunya Convention Bureau, and the Diputació de Girona, through the Costa Brava Girona Convention Bureau.
Over three days, participating professionals enjoy a full programme of activities that combines one-to-one business meetings at the 5* Hotel Meliá Lloret de Mar, the venue for the event, with exclusive experiences in iconic locations in the destination, such as the Santa Clotilde Gardens, the beaches and coves of Lloret, the Beach Club at the Hotel Santa Marta and the Gammarus Restaurant & Beach Club.
The director of the Lloret Convention Bureau explained that: “The Lloret Convention Bureau has designed a programme for organisers to discover Lloret de Mar’s specialisation, as well as our traditions and authenticity, highlighting the cultural, natural and gastronomic wealth of the destination.”
The Councillor for Tourism, Cristina Aymerich, stressed that “the Global MICE Forum National Edition is a great opportunity to promote Lloret de Mar as a leading destination for meetings and incentive tourism. We are doing this by promoting the ‘Som molt de Lloret’ campaign, which reflects the essence of a welcoming and diverse municipality that is highly attractive for hosting high-level events”.
The meeting will present the main MICE developments in Lloret de Mar, with special emphasis on the “Lloret Experiences” platform of team building and incentive activities for companies. This platform is a unique portal that gives event organisers first-hand knowledge of the wide range of activities they can offer their clients: nature and sport, culture and tradition, bleisure, food and wine, health and wellbeing, and sustainability and CSR.
With the Global MICE Forum National Edition, Lloret de Mar is taking a step forward in its strategy to position the destination in the field of events at a national level and is committed to sustainable, quality tourism, in line with the municipality’s values of innovation and internationalisation.
