Lloret de Mar strengthens ties with the Polish tourism sector in a professional initiative across four cities in the country

The destination is participating in a roadshow and a working session with the tour operator Rainbow to consolidate its relationship with one of the destination's fastest-growing international markets.

Lloret Turisme has recently participated in a promotional initiative in the Polish market, with the aim of gauging the pulse of one of the international markets with the greatest projected growth and getting first-hand insight into the interests, trends and demands of the country’s tourism professionals. The events, organised by Meet Hiszpania, an agency specialising in B2B promotion and networking between Spain and Poland, have allowed the tourist offering of Lloret de Mar to be presented to more than a hundred industry professionals.

The Polish market has consolidated its position as one of Lloret de Mar‘s main international source markets and one of the fastest-growing. In 2025, there were over 90,000 travellers and 503,000 overnight stays, compared to 56,000 travellers and 340,000 overnight stays the previous year. This increase placed Poland as the third international market in both number of travellers and overnight stays. The trend remains positive during 2026, with sustained growth during the first months of the year.

Elizabeth Keegan, manager of Lloret Turisme, has highlighted that “Poland has become a strategic market for the destination. Its sustained growth, good air connectivity and growing interest in products such as sports, family and active tourism encourage us to strengthen our commercial and promotional presence there.”

During their stay in Poland, representatives from Lloret Turisme took part in professional meetings in four cities in the central part of the country: Warsaw, Lublin, Kielce and Lodz, which brought together around 100 travel agents, tour operators and tourism professionals.

One of the main focuses of the presentations was sports tourism, a segment that is generating growing interest among Polish travellers. In this regard, the destination’s sports facilities, its specialised offer for teams and athletes, the options for cycling and football, as well as the hosting of international sporting events, were highlighted. The family-friendly offer, nature, gastronomy and experiences linked to active tourism were also emphasised.

Taking advantage of the trip, Lloret Turisme also held a presentation of the destination at the offices of the Polish tour operator Rainbow for twenty members of its sales team.

This action is part of Lloret Turisme’s action plan for the Polish market, which will continue over the coming months with new professional and commercial initiatives, including two roadshows with stops in Warsaw, Białystok, Olsztyn and Gdańsk in September, and in Rzeszów, Kraków, Katowice and Wrocław in October. These actions aim to consolidate Lloret de Mar’s position in a market that continues to show high growth potential and to strengthen business opportunities for the local tourism sector.
